Post-mortem Pipeline Planning

Okay, if you understand what post-mortem pipeline planning means, there isn't really a better way to say it.  But I can't help laughing when I think about that term literally.  It conjures up an image from a zombie apocalypse – why are dead people planning a pipeline?  What on earth are they sending through it? Brains?

For those of you who don't know, the post-mortem pipeline is a common strategy used to tackle double taxation when an incorporated business owner passes away.

If you are facing a situation that requires this kind of planning and need some advice, contact an ATAP member who specializes in taxation.
